Those who wish to go beyond the asanas and deep dive into the philosophy of yoga, this program is for them. In this program you learn the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, along with learning asanas.
The Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali are a collection of 195 Sanskrit sutras (aphorisms) on the theory and practice of yoga. The Yoga Sutras were compiled sometime between 500 BCE and 400 CE by the sage Patanjali who organized knowledge about yoga from authentically rich traditions of India. These Sutras are threads of ancient knowledge on how to control modulations of our mind through practice. The 8 limbs of Yoga teach us different facets of how to embody yoga (unity) in mind, body, and spirit. Surprisingly, the knowledge shared by Maharshi Patanjali back then is equally relevant in today’s world.
This program is for anyone who wishes to go deeper into the philosophy of Yoga along with the practice.
